Sending packages to missionaries in other countries
Packages abroad can be slow and costly. These simple tips help, plus links to each country and mission.
Before you send
- Ask your missionary or the mission office what works best.
- Use the address from the call packet or the mission office. Offices move, so confirm first.
- Couriers like DHL, FedEx and UPS usually need the mission office phone number.
Customs and costs
- Customs fees can cost more than the gift.
- Declare contents honestly.
- Small padded envelopes often travel faster and cheaper than boxes.
- Don’t mail cash or medicine.
Timing
International mail can take weeks. Mail early for birthdays and holidays.
Find your country and mission
Each country page has a short mail note. Each mission page has the office address (when we could confirm it) and family groups. Parents in those groups often share what works.
