Why 505 missions?
The Church announced 55 new missions for July 2026, which it said would bring the total to 506 (Newsroom, Oct 2025). The Utah Salt Lake City Temple Square Mission was then discontinued in July 2026 (Newsroom 2026). The Church News list of missions from October 2026 says 506 but lists 505 names, and it matches our 505 (Church News, Oct 2026).
